
Dr. Harry Hoediono is President-Elect of the Ontario Dental Association.
Dr. Hoediono’s involvement in organized dentistry began at the local level when he joined the executive of the Waterloo-Wellington Dental Society in 1994. He has held all executive positions, including President in 2000. He served as ODA Councillor from 1999 to 2005.
Within the ODA, Dr. Hoediono has served on the Quality Assurance Task Force, Revision to the USC & LS Task Force, Composition and Size of Council Task Force, Honorarium and Per Diem Working Group, Audit Committee and the Oral Health Strategy Advisory Committee whose oral health campaign earned an award from the Canadian Dental Association. He has chaired the New Dentist Planning Task Force and Nominations Committee. In 2004, he served as a speaker chair at the ODA Annual Spring Meeting.
Dr. Hoediono is currently Treasurer of the ODA, and Chair of the Budget Oversight Committee, Accommodation Task Force and ODA/RCDSO Ideas Forum Committee. He serves as a member of the Board of Directors and Staffing, Administration and Finance Committee.
Dr. Hoediono is a fellow of the International College of Dentists, the Academy of Dentistry International, a Fellow of the Pierre Fauchard Academy and a Fellow of the American College of Dentists.
An active member in his community, Dr. Hoediono is an organizer with the Halton Region Volunteer Earth Day, a Board Member of the Kitchener-Waterloo Gymnastics Club, and member of the Kitchener-Waterloo Gyro Club. He is a support dentist for Children of Chernobyl, providing dentistry to children ravaged by war, famine or other catastrophes. A passionate rock climber, instructor and examiner, Dr. Hoediono has contributed to numerous rock climbing guides, manuals and magazines.
For his outstanding service and contribution to the dental profession, Dr. Hoediono has been honoured with the ODA Award of Merit, ODA Chair’s Pin, and ODA Committee Service and Governance Leadership Awards.
Dr. Hoediono is a graduate of the University of Toronto (1990) and is in private practice in Kitchener.
